
The thing I love about puppets is how we give them personality and life. There is literally nothing there, but we endow them with being – both the puppeteer and the audience.

The puppet building process usually starts with a sketch, then sculpting a scale model maquette to work out the personality and proportions. Here are couple examples of that, followed by a variety of different puppets I’ve built.
